Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix Use any flavor you prefer for variety.
  • 1 cup frosting (vanilla or cream cheese) Essential for binding the cake crumbs.
Coating and Decoration
  • 1 cup melting chocolate or candy melts Can be flavored according to your preference.
  • 12 pieces lollipop sticks Add a fun touch to cake pops.
  • to taste sprinkles (optional) Use to decorate the cake pops.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package instructions and bake in a baking pan. Allow to cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add frosting and mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Coating
  1. Melt the chocolate or candy melts in a microwave or double boiler until smooth.
  2. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate, then insert it into a cake ball.
  3. Dip the cake balls into the melted chocolate to coat evenly. Allow excess to drip off.
  4. Place the coated cake pops back on the baking sheet and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
Setting
  1. Let the chocolate set before serving.

Notes

These cake pops can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, refrigerate and allow to come to room temperature before serving. The microwave can be used for quick reheating, but the oven is recommended for the best texture.
