  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest Zest from about 1 lemon.
  • ¼ cup lemon juice Freshly squeezed or bottled.
Glaze Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice Freshly squeezed.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until smooth.
  4. Mix in the flour, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Glaze Preparation
  1. While the brownies are baking, make the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth.
  2. Once the brownies are done, allow them to cool before drizzling with the glaze.
