Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
These cookies can be served warm with ice cream or stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
