Ingredients
  

For the churro dough
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup butter unsalted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • Oil spray (for air frying)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar over medium heat until the mixture boils.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Pipe small strips of dough into the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching.
  6. Lightly spray with oil and air fry for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Coating
  1. In a bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
  2. Once churro bites are cooked, toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These churro bites are best served fresh but can be stored at room temperature in an airtight container for up to two days. Reheat in the air fryer or oven for best texture.
