Method

Preparation
  1. Heat treat the flour by spreading it on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes. Let cool.
  2. Cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Add milk, vanilla, and salt, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  4. Slowly add the cooled, heat-treated flour, stirring until no dry lumps remain.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Roll small portions of dough (about 1 tablespoon each) into balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Freeze the dough balls for 15-20 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  8. Melt the chocolate coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 20 seconds until smooth.
  9. Dip each chilled dough ball into the melted chocolate using a fork, allowing excess chocolate to drip off before placing them back on parchment.
  10. Refrigerate the coated truffles for at least 15 minutes until the chocolate sets.
