Preparation
- Preheat the oven and prepare the cake mix according to package instructions. Bake in a cake pan.
- Once the cake has cooled, crumble it into a large bowl.
- Mix in the frosting until fully combined, and the mixture holds together.
- Form small balls from the mixture and place them on a baking sheet.
- Freeze the cake balls for about 30 minutes.
Coating
- Melt the chocolate according to package instructions.
- Dip the end of a lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into each cake ball.
- Coat each cake ball in melted chocolate and add sprinkles on top.
- Let them set on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper until the chocolate hardens.
Notes
Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for longer freshness. For reheating, warm them briefly in the microwave.
